WARRANTY

To our loyal customers: HOW THE OMS WARRANTY WORKS - With regard to warranty issues:

All goods purchased from an OMS authorized dealer must be returned to that dealer in
order to have a warranty claim considered. 

Gray Goods: These are OMS items purchased outside of the buyers home country. For example a USA resident purchases an OMS BC in Singapore or a German resident purchases by internet a BC from the US or Canada. These goods in order to be considered for warranty consideration must be returned to the seller at the owners expense. If the German resident or USA Resident mentioned earlier does not wish to return the BC to the seller he may wish to call the OMS dealer or distributor in his country and have the item repaired. In this case the OMS BC will be considered to be Gray Goods and will be repaired or replaced at charge and at the
sole option of the local distributor or OMS.
 

OMS products purchased from Unauthorized dealers or distributors: Those goods purchased from
unauthorized Dealers or Distributors do not carry an OMS warranty. Any claims for warranty will not be honoured (except where required by law) and any and all repairs or replacements will be done at charge
and at the sole option of OMS.
 

Used equipment: The warranty is not transferable from the original owner to the new owner and any claims for warranty will be quoted out on a time and materials basis. The owner will be required to pay for all shipping and handling charges.
 

Reels: OMS has announced that the plastic parts on its entire line of reels are unconditionally warranted for life against breakage. This also includes the revolutionary compact Kevlar line explorer reel and the new line of “finger reels”. Just return the plastic parts (less line) and OMS will send out
free replacement parts.
